The Cochlear Implant Awareness Foundation (501 c3 status) exists to provide information, resources, and support to persons who may be eligible for this life-changing technology.
If you or a loved one has experienced hearing loss, you may be facing important decisions about a device known as the “cochlear implant”.For thousands of deaf and hard-of-hearing recipients, this small piece of electronic equipment creates sound where only silence existed before.
While cochlear implantation offers life-changing possibilities, choosing to undergo the procedure is a very personal choice.CIAF is here to provide you with resources you’ll need to make an informed decision.

Awareness bands have become a fun and trendy way to show support for worthy social causes, but beyond fashion, the bands are an excellent conversation piece, raising the opportunity for people who are familiar with cochlear implants to talk with their friends and neighbors about the life-changing nature of the procedure.
CIAF’s bands are uniquely multi-toned in a vibrant green, black and white.The words “From Silence to Sound” are imprinted across the band.
Additional wristbands are being sold to the public in sets of 10, 100 or 1,000 at a cost of $3 per band.
Case sponsorships will allow CIAF to distribute wristbands to medical centers around the country to cochlear implant patients and their families.
All proceeds from wristband sales will support CI awareness activities.
